Project Overview

Telex is an application that ensures timely and accurate delivery of notifications for developers and IT teams. Similar to Slack, Telex allows users to organize notifications into different channels, such as new customer sign-ups, customer complaints, and purchases.

Unlike traditional notification systems or monitoring tools, Telex is designed to be the central hub for all app-related events, allowing teams to stay informed and collaborate on issues in real-time. The platform is not intended to be used for general team communication or chat, but rather as a dedicated space for tracking and responding to critical events happening within the user's applications and services.

UIUX Designer for User Management

I was responsible for Designing the User Management feature for Telex, I created an intuitive system that enabled administrators to access user settings and monitor activities with user authorization to address reported issues.

I Designed a user-friendly admin dashboard that streamlined backend access while ensuring the process was secure and transparent. Emphasizing user trust, I designed clear consent mechanisms that kept users in control of their data. Collaboration with the development team allowed me to refine the feature based on feedback, and I prioritized accessibility to ensure the system was easy to navigate for administrators of all technical levels. This design successfully balanced efficient issue resolution with maintaining user privacy and trust.

Assumptions/Hypothesis

Assumptions

IT professionals, including developers, DevOps, and product managers, require a robust solution for real-time notifications to monitor application events effectively.

Current tools like Slack, Datadog, Splunk, Sentry, and Discord do not address the specific needs of high-volume automated notifications and structured communication for machine-generated events.

Teams will benefit from a single platform that integrates communication, monitoring, and incident management, improving collaboration and response times.
